Hi everybody i know there may be many threads on this topic but I have researched and still cant seem to get Windows 7 working when the GRUB menu appears but Open SUSE 11.2 works fine. This is the first time installing Open SUSE 11.2. I created two partitions (swap and Suse 11.2) in Windows 7 before installing Open SUSE 11.2. Open SUSE 11.2 automatically created an extra two partitions (one was swap and the other i guess is where SUSE was installed?), i should have gone into expert mode and left my original partitions but i decided to let SUSE do it and i deleted the partitions i. I check Windows update today and there are two important patches for Windows 7 64 bit and one optional patch Important: A computer stops responding during shutdown if BitLocker is enabled on the system drive on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Information for advanced users and for IT professionals This update resolves issues that affect some computers that are running Windows 7 or that are running Windows Server 2008 R2.

What am I doing wrong? Hi I've installed the gw802 beta client on my windows 7 x64 workstation. It is working fine unless I click on the 'Home' folder/view When I do this the machine flickers several times, Groupwise stops responding I also get popups informing me that the graphics driver has been stopped and recovered.
On the first time I saw this - the machine eventually blue screened. On the second test I managed to close groupwise - the machine seemed to recover. In the event log I see 'Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.' I wish to install a Groupwise 7 client on Windows 7 64 bit.
Is there a 64 bit version of the Groupwise 7 client? If so, can anyone provide a link to download it? If there isn't a 64 bit client, are there any recommendations/best practices for installing the 32 bit client on Windows 7 64 bit? Thanks for any help you can provide. The drive comes up in Explorer as I mapped them, and I can access the files on them, but when I go to an Administrator level DOS prompt, I can't access the drives (but I can through a non-admin prompt.) I assume the admin DOS prompt is acting like a different user, but can I change this?
- tsherr - Turning off UAC seems to solve it, but it's still a pain. tsherr - tsherr's Profile: On my laptop hp8540p I have a dual install with windows 7 64x and a windows xp 32x. When i start winxp and start the novell client to login there is no problem. If start win7 and start the novell client to login it sees the tree, but no context. I get the message cannot acces tree.
I'm a novice with novell. Can someone explain to me in simple language how to solve this problem? Thanks - micronikje - Try turning off your Windows firewall, then attempt tree, then context access. Hi, I have a 32-bit Delphi 7 application which was deployed on some machines with Windows 7 64-bit. The application occasionally displays errors such as: 'Error reading ppDBText37.Border.Color: Invalid property value' or 'Error reading Label24.Font.Ch: Property Ch does not exist' (here the name 'Charset' was apparently truncated to 'Ch') I checked how those properties are declared on the form where the errors occurred, and all seems ok: - First form (where 'Error reading ppDBText37.Border.Color: Invalid property value' occurs). I am using Novell Client 2 SP1 IR5 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and have a NetWare 6.5 SP8 server.
I can usually copy files that are small (seem to be less than 5 MB) but anything above that amount (or when copying many small files at once) results in an error. 'Error 0x80070032: The request is not supported.' Is by far the most common. File Commit is On & File Caching is Off in the client.
This has been happening with Novell Client 2 SP1 IR3 through IR5. I also can't delete files that I have previously copied until I restart my laptop. They are always in use.
The company I am working for has just purchased a couple of new workstations with Windows 7 Professional installed. When I install the Client s SP1 IR3 and want to logon to the Novell Netware 6.5 SP8 server I get the following error: Error: Automatic Client Upgrade does not support this version of Windows. A logon script forces the user to run the acu.exe. Any idea whats causing this and what should be the sollution. Thanks, - acbontekoe - Sounds like the acu.exe is pointing to an old client ve. I am in the process of getting a new PC and these days there is a choice between 32 and 64 bit operating system (Win7).
I have both Delphi7 Pro and BDS2006, where most of my work tends to still be done in Delphi 7. My question now is: Does Delphi 7 work correctly in Windows 7 x64 or do I have to install the 32 bit version in order to work with Delphi 7? This is about the IDE, not programs created with Delphi, which I already know work fine in Win7x64. I am worried about the impact of new security measures in Win7 and incompatibilities between the Delphi7 debugger and Win7x64. On our application i have the fallowing code: function long fcmakedir(string asdirectory) library 'PB2CShared.dll' alias for 'fcmakedir;Ansi' For some reason in windows 7 64 bit the fcmakedir cannot be called? PB gives the error that it is null.
However in windows 2008 R2 64-bit it works fine. It also works fine in windows 7 32 bit. Do you have to do something different for it to work in windows 7 64 bit? I'm not sure why it would be failing.
Can you post the exact text of the error message? (When the box pops up, Ctrl-C will copy it to the c. Any news on when a 64 bit client will be available? I'm not sure. You could try a non-Novell IKE-based VPN client in certificate mode though.

Novell NetWare Revisor is a multifunctional toolkit intended for managing, monitoring and backing up servers running on the Novell NetWare operating system. The key feature of the package is its ability to create images of NetWare servers from the administrator's workstation.
An image is a complete copy of the eDirectory catalog tree used by the server to provide access to its resources. Thanks to the rich reporting functionality of the package, the administrator can save a backup copy of eDirectory both on the hard drive and on paper. The program uses server images to restore the object database 'on the go', both on the source server and other NetWare servers. The integrated image editor provides the administration with a broad spectrum of functions: from object replication and merging trees to migration of trustee rights and server cloning. Apart from that, the package offers a number of additional features, such as a connections monitor, the ability to remotely execute console commands, the ability to mass-send text messages and more.
All these functions coupled with a simple and intuitive interface greatly simplify the search for information and make Novell NetWare Revisor a must-have for working in NetWare-based networks.
